Another short hop down to Cheswardine, on this occasion we just stopped because we felt like it! The cutting between here and Tyrley Wharf looks as though it was pretty hard work to cut since it is all through solid rock, that explains why the channel is so narrow since they wouldn’t want to have to dig it any wider than they had to. Fortunately we didn’t meet any boats coming in the opposite direction since if we had it would certainly have been a bit of a squeeze.

Think we’ll probably only stay here overnight and press on down the Shroppie towards Norbury Junction tomorrow.
