A very short hop today partly because we had been on the mooring for the limited time (48 hours) and partly because we needed to refill with water so we have gone through the two locks at Audlem village (one either side of the road bridge) and are now moored in the pound below the flight of 11 that we’ll be taking on tomorrow. As expected today was another day to sit out the weather and we didn’t move the short distance until after the rain had stopped. Forecast for tomorrow is good so we’ll make as much progress as possible before more rain comes in on Monday.

I quite like Audlem but it lost a few brownie points by virtue of the fact that none of the three pubs here seem to be playing the England v New Zealand rugby match, ‘spose I’ll have to watch it on catch up I-Player later (highlights only).
