Today’s trip took us from East Marton through to Skipton,
for which the weather has held out perfectly, broken sunshine for most of the
day. Getting into the rhythm for going down in these locks which, although
shorter than most we encounter, are still reasonably OK. The intention will be
to stay here in Skipton probably for at least one day, possibly more depending
upon what is here.
Once we leave here the next place of note will be Bingley
with its Five Rise Lock Staircase and it’s Three Rise Lock Staircase.
