I did say that today’s travel was dependent on the weather,
and the weather was crap so we have stayed where we are! The forecast was for
rain throughout the morning with a possibility of it easing off in the
afternoon, which is pretty much what happened. By the time the rain had cleared
it wasn’t worth the effort of moving on so today has been another of those ‘stand-still’
days.
Looking a lot better
for tomorrow with the forecast just for overcast skies (traditional English
summer) so we will hopefully press on to the moorings above Barrowford Locks
which hopefully is in easy walking distance of Barrowford where the museum
relating to the witches of Pendle is located.
