Completed the planned distance for the day as far as
Chorley. Have also been out to do the weekend shop since the forecast for
tomorrow isn’t too good, it may result in us remaining where we are for an
extra day. The weather today however has been brilliant, slightly hazy sunshine
and warm, shame that the forecast is for it to break tomorrow, particularly for
those whose only opportunity to go boating is at weekends when they are off
work. The only point of interest today was the fact that we stopped off at Ellerbreck
Narrowboats to top up with fuel. We weren’t exactly desperate since we could
only get 89 litres in and it hold 160 litres, but it always worthwhile to keep
the tank topped up.
Tomorrow’s trip will depend upon the weather, if it is dire
we’ll stay where we are but if it’s not too bad we’ll probably move on to the
top of Johnson’s Hillock Locks.
