As planned, we are at the outskirts of Penkridge, so well positioned to get some decent bread tomorrow morning before moving on to Gailey, so another fairly short day’s cruise.

At last I’ve managed to see a kingfisher on this trip, only 4 weeks in before seeing my first one, near to Acton Trussell. It has been quite a hot day today, which is good after the rain and temperatures we’ve had so far this year, forecast looks as though it could remain OK until we get back to Hawne Basin.
