Extended our stay in Nottingham for one more day to allow the wet weather of yesterday to pass through. Now we are back on the move to Stoke Lock, which apparently was where we moored last time we came up the Trent (although I don’t remember it).

 

With the extra day in Nottingham I would have liked to have taken the opportunity for a swim, but the pool was only open from 1.15 - 2.15pm and 2.30 to 3.15pm so I took the opportunity to go Ice Skating and the National Ice Centre. The last time I skated was back in April in Plymouth and the rink there was fairly quiet, the Nottingham rink was, by contrast, pretty rammed with people. It makes the skating just a bit more challenging.

 

This mooring at Stoke Lock seems very pleasant but we’ll be moving off again tomorrow since we need to be in Newark by Wednesday to pick up a prescription.
