So after 3 days at Langley Mill, we were back on the move this morning. As it turns out two other boats travelling together were also on the move from Langley Mill so since we were following them, most of the locks were, sadly, set against us. We are in no rush however and coming back was slightly quicker than going up since it is possible to fully open the gate and side paddles on the locks so they fill and empty quicker. There isn’t much traffic on this canal though, we’ve only passed two boats coming up as we’ve come down.

Just an overnight stay here at Sandiacre and then back to Trent Lock tomorrow.
