Quite a good day’s travelling today, taking fullest advantage of the decent weather, we have gone from Flecknoe to Radford Semele through 23 locks and covering over 11 miles. We seemed to fly down Stockton Locks but then we were with another boat and there was a volunteer lock keeper on duty as well. I was quite busy chatting with the bloke on the other boat so wasn’t really taking a lot of notice of the time, but it seems we got down the flight in about an hour and a half, which is quite quick for 10 locks.

I don’t expect to make quite as much effort tomorrow since we need to stop off at the supermarket, I would expect to get to the bottom of the Hatton Flight more or less.
