A bit of a disappointing day today, hoped to get somewhere near to halfway between Banbury and Oxford but in the event could only manage just over 6 miles. I did say it was weather dependent and once again we’ve had rain of biblical proportions today. I can remember the days when it just used to ‘rain’ but now it seems that almost every time it comes down, it comes down in monsoon proportions, no exaggerations there, visibility was massively reduced in the rainstorm today.
I may try to make up the lost time tomorrow since the forecast for tomorrow is fine and clear.
If you're at Aynho, how was the Cherwell where it crosses the canal above the lock?!

Surprisingly, fairly placid since immediately before we crossed it the rain was more than torrential. The warning board at Nell Bridge Lock was more or less missing, but the one at Aynho Lock had moved onto yellow.
