A more successful day today, pretty much made up for the lost time yesterday and covered something like 14 miles to bring us to a 7 day mooring at Thrupp. This is in reasonable travelling distance to Oxford, crew can use her bus pass and I can use the bike, so it is likely that we’ll stay here for a few days, probably at least until the weekend.

The weather today was as forecast, sunny for a lot of the day but the wind now has a bit of a nip in it so it becomes clear that we are into autumn.

Since we’d had a longer day than usual (for us) we decided that we’d let someone else do the cooking tonight and had a meal at The Boat at Thrupp, apparently a venue regularly used during the Inspector Morse TV series. A very pleasant meal and drink.
