Having found that Lord Leycester Hospital is closed on Good
Friday we have now extended our stay in Warwick until Sunday to get the
opportunity to visit it. With a bit of a free day today I took myself of to the
St Nicholas Leisure Centre in Warwick for a swimming session. At least it was a
correct length pool (25 metres) unlike the last pool I visited at Selly Oak
which was only a 25 yard pool
(meaning you have to swim 71 lengths to get a mile in rather than 65 lengths of
a 25 metre pool). Quite surprised to find that at one point there were only 3
of us in the pool on a Good Friday during school holidays, I suppose the kids
are all at home on the computer!
When we do set off from here on Sunday it will be a day of a
fair bit of work up the 21 locks of the Hatton flight, with any luck Sunday
will be busy and we can team up with someone.
