Eventually the decision was made that we’d stay put for today and move on to Wedgewood tomorrow since the weather forecast for tomorrow is really good, starting to warm up a bit. The other key to the decision was the fact that we’d been awake a bit last night awaiting a phone text to tell us that we are grandparents for the second time, the text came through at about 2.30am, although by then it’s a bit late for celebrations. 

Today the weather has been back to the icy wind and we have once again had to light the fire. I did take the opportunity on a standstill day to go for a swim in the local pool but even that was a bit rushed since the session only lasted an hour and it takes me that long to swim the mile distance that I try to do whenever I go swimming.

Tomorrow we must move on though since the water tank will need filling, we have two full elsan cassettes and one of our gas bottles has run out.
