Back onto the Llangollen Canal heading towards the great
aqueducts of Chirk and Pontcysyllte which we should cross, all being well,
tomorrow. Today was a fairly easy day in which we didn’t really start until
about 1.30pm. There was a queue up to Frankton Locks and I didn’t see the point
in joining it since we were at a comfortable mooring at the Weston Branch where
we could see once the queue had died down. Started to rain as we passed through
the staircase at the top of Frankton but it died out as we travelled along the
Llangollen canal. Hopefully the cunning plan will be to spend tomorrow night at
Trevor moving on to Llangollen on Sunday. Might try for a Sunday lunch at one
of Llangollen’s hostelries!
