After the 28 ‘lock miles’ of Friday decided to take Saturday off, partly to do the shopping and parftly with the aspiration of doing a bit of servicing to the bike. The shopping went OK but the bike servicing was a bit of a failure; the shop I was hoping to use alongside the canal rather oversold itself. Described as,”….everything for your cycling needs….”,was OK if you needs were pretty limited (puncture repair kit!) but since I wanted to change the chain, rear cassette and chain wheel it was a bit too much for them. He doesn’t hold very much stock and if you want anything he will put in the order on Monday’s to have it in by Tuesday, by Tuesday we’ll be halfway up the Langollen Canal! Will have to leave this servicing until later.
