A scorching day’s travel back down to the Shenton
Battlefield moorings for the night. Return trip through Snarestone Tunnel
passed fairly straightforwardly since there was little traffic on the canal
today. The only mechanical development today was that the nut on the stop
solenoid decided to start to work loose again, relatively easy to fix but a bit
of a pig to get to.
We are just short of halfway back down the canal, but since
we have until 30th to get to Tamworth we are still comfortably on
schedule. Hope this scorching weather holds out for the rest of the week.
