Probably one of the shortest daily cruises we’re likely to make from Foxton to Debdale Wharf marina but the reason was to call in and have the boat blacking done. Always a bit worrying watching your pride and joy being unceremoniously hoisted out of the water but once the job is done it makes it look so much better (and only needs doing every three years). Included this time are a few photos of what Rune looks like out of the water.

Further coats of bitumen go on tomorrow and hopefully back into the water on Friday and on our way. It does feel a bit odd however living in a boat balanced on a pile of railway sleepers on hard standing. No movement as you walk around the boat (boat movement being something we have now got used to).
