Another short day today allowing for a stop at the bottom of the Napton Flight of locks to once again empty the Elsan with the hope tomorrow to head off up the Grand Union through Calcutt. The confounding factor at the moment was that I bought a battery monitor from Midland Chandlers and at the moment cannot get it to work. I’ll see if there is anyone at the nearby boatyards who can see what the issue is tomorrow, but if they can’t suggest a fix, it’ll be heading back towards Braunston.
