Hurleston

Here I am Rune

Distance 3.6 miles

Total 4491 Locks  282 Tunnels

Running total mileage 6,710.3 miles

We moved off today as intended although the weather wasn’t brilliant, it wasn’t as bad as forecasted. We went along the Nantwich embankment to the winding hole and then back again to the moorings at Hurleston so not that far a trip. We did the necessary domestic stuff at the sanitary station and tried to buy another gas bottle, which had run out last night, but they had none in stock. Price seemed high as well at £38.50 a bottle (the last one we bought at Hawne Basin was £27.75), I’m almost tempted to wait until we get back since the new bottle should last for 8 weeks and I would guess we’ll be back in the basin before then, we’ll see what other prices are like.

Tomorrow we set off up the Langollen Canal, not sure how far we’ll get, we’ll see how we feel.
