We got on quite well today, only about 30 minutes to get through the Grindley Brook Staircase locks, but we decided to finish for the day at lunch time so that we can arrive at Whitchurch tomorrow morning and then stay until Saturday morning (weekend shop). We did all of the domestic stuff at the top of the Grindley Brook staircase so we should now be OK until we get to Ellesmere. There seemed fewer boats on the move today so we didn’t really get stuck in any queues.
