The weather wasn’t forecast to be much good today and it certainly was a wet morning. We needed to get some milk however and since either option involved me getting wet (walking to Wrenbury or boating to Wrenbury) I thought we might just as well take the boat since it then wouldn’t mean a walk back. As it turned out the rain stopped whilst we cruised to Wrenbury so I didn’t get wet anyway. Half thinking of remaining there for the day but then checked the rain radar and we seemed to have a window during the afternoon until about 5.30 or 6.00pm before the next belt of rain came across, so we decided to take advantage of it. It was still pretty windy but, as long as you can keep the boat moving it isn’t too much of a problem.

I would guess tomorrow we’ll be somewhere about Whitchurch, depending on how long it takes to get through the Grindley Brook Flight.
