It was going to be 7 miles and 2 locks today, but when we got to Marton Locks there was a queue of 5 boats and the area looked like a nice mooring, so we’ve stopped here for the night. For October the weather has been excellent, warm and bright sunshine and, surprisingly, until we got to these locks, not very much on the move. I suppose Friday is one of the hire boat changeover days so possibly less of them on the move and others needing to be close to their hire centre for tomorrow, another changeover day.
Haven’t yet decided how far we are going tomorrow, ideally I’d like the moorings at Frontcysyllte but that all depends on them being free.
