The hot weather seems to have broken today and we were quite late setting off since we were waiting for the rain to ease off. We still got caught in a couple of heavy showers on the way though. Stopped off at Hemingford Grey for lunch and a quick look around the village, then onto St Ives for the night. Mooring was a bit of a problem since the moorings on The Waites Quay were full and the moorers on the Dolphin mooring had spread themselves out, so we were left with the Town Moorings which already had several boats on them. Tried to moor at the far end from the bridge but there is a concrete block preventing the boat from getting alongside. Fortunately a day-boat, moored closer to the bridge set off and we were able to get into their space.

 

Not sure how long we’ll stay here, need to get the weekend shop tomorrow, so it may be until Saturday.
