We are now onto the Cam Conservancy waters hoping to get into Cambridge tomorrow. I say hoping because it requires a very early start, probably on the move by 6am to get to the Chesterton Cycle bridge under construction before 8am since that is the time they shut the river to boat traffic. If we miss that time we will have to kick around until 6pm to be able to get through to the city.

 

Today’s trip was pretty straightforward, and nice to get back to normal sort of travel speed, abut 3.5mph on the river after the less than 1mph speeds on the lodes. Should we be able to get into Cambridge tomorrow the intention will be to stay there until either Sunday or Monday before making the return trip.
