Intentionally had a longer run today, to allow the batteries to recharge after running the washing machine so we had the 12 miles of so from Diamonds 44 mooring to Denver Sluice to do. On arrival at Denver most of the moorings were taken by boats waiting for todays locking, so we carried out a quick piece of domestic stuff at the service point and on our return a mooring had become free in the ideal location for me, so here were are until tomorrow.

There seemed to be something of a delay for today’s locking, apparently because a wide beam had run aground between the locks, but everything started to move again about 2.30pm. Checked with the lockie and the tide for tomorrow is about 4pm, which is what I had anticipated, not the 2pm tide shown on the noticeboard outside the lockie’s place, I still think they are running to last years tide table.

If all goes to plan we should be back on the Middle Levels by tomorrow.
