Another uneventful day, just a lazy sort of Sunday really.
To comply with the maximum mooring time on the Sheepcote mooring (48 hours) we’ve
moved back to the Brindley Place mooring where we again have a maximum of 48
hours. It seems that there isn’t a general compliance with these limits since
the boat that moored in front of us at Brindley Place back on Wednesday is
still here along with another boat outside of Ballantyne’s Gym. Both of the
boats moored at Sheepcote have also been here since we arrived on Wedneday but
to save any argument I’m quite happy to move within the limits, particularly since
there isn’t any restriction on returning. The intention is only to stay to the
end of the week, still well within the 14 day maximum at a particular location,
if Gas Street isn’t open by then we’ll have to set off down Farmer’s locks and
go that way round.
Tomorrow should be a bit busier in terms of ‘boaty’ stuff to
since we now need to refill the water tank, dispose of the rubbish and empty
the Elsan cassettes as well as getting a few bags of coal in.
