Decided to stay in Nantwich for the 48 hours which will
enable us to do the weekend shopping before moving off towards Chester. Also
took advantage of the local swimming pool in Nantwich for a couple of swimming
sessions whilst we are here, 2 x 1mile swims in 2 days, now knackered!
Think I quite like Nantwich as it has some quite quirky
buildings, although there is one just down from the canal adjacent to the local
school that looks like the design was based on a prison somewhere. It would
appear to be a bit unpopular with the residents (I am guessing) since it is a
block of flats and, judging by the numerous Estate Agent boards outside, the
flats that aren’t up for sale appear to be up for rent.
After the shopping session tomorrow morning we’ll be moving
off although that involves going right through Nantwich to the winding hole to
turn around and come back again.
