Still at Beeston Castle

As described yesterday, we took a day off today because of heavy rain throughout the morning. The weather however cleared up for the afternoon so we took the opportunity to go up Beeston Castle and I would have to say that the view was well worth the effort. From the Castle we could see as far north as Liverpool John Lennon airport (in fact you could see further but that was the furthest thing I could identify) and as far west as Snowdonia. Also visible was the Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope at Lower Withington, apparently it is the third largest steerable radio telescope in the world. As the photos show the weather was excellent when we were walking around the castle which helped to get such a good view.

Tomorrow possibly on to Chester.
