Well, we made it to Ansty but it seemed a bit like ‘Welcome to Ansty, don’t stop!’. You enter the village on an embankment where there are all ‘No Mooring’ signs. You then pass the Long Term moorings, you then pass the water point and then there is a long left hand curve as you leave the village, not ideal for mooring on. So we pressed on to the next place that we could find decent armco to moor to, and that was here.
Not a lot on the move today and yet speaking to the volunteer at Hawkesbury Junction she said we were the 28th boat through the lock today, so whilst we didn’t see many of them, clearly they were somewhere about.Tomorrow it should be somewhere about Hillmorton Locks for the night’s mooring.
