A pretty soggy sort of day, the type of which when we were continuously cruising we would have stayed in and watched the rain out of the window. Since we are on a sort of schedule, it was necessary to press on, despite the weather. I have reasonable waterproofs so didn’t end out that wet, but  at times the rain was driving intensely which was a bit uncomfortable. No boats seemed to have been travelling in the same directions as us, but we passed several, in convoy, heading towards Braunston.

Stopped off at Calcutt Marina to put 30 litres of diesel in, just to make sure that we’ve got enough to get us back to Hawne Basin (we were down to 55 litres), so 85 litres should see us OK, pending any disasters.

The planned route should have seen us at the bottom of Stockton Locks, but in the rain, I didn’t really see the point, we’ll just have to catch up a bit tomorrow.
