Our stay in Lincoln Marina over now and just a short hop today to the visitor moorings outside of Burton Waters Marina, where we took the opportunity to top up with diesel. Whilst we had left the boat in the marina we ticked off another of the National Trails, walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way from Hessle, under the Humber Bridge, to Filey. It was a pleasant enough walk at the time for year when all of the fields are resplendent in the various crops. Plenty of wildlife to see from Kites and Kestrels to Hares and Deer, all in all a good experience, even though my walking boots fell to bits!!
We have booked the passage back up the Tidal Trent for Wednesday so, since we are only a couple of hours or so from Torksey, we have a little bit of time to kill.
