We reached today’s intended of Loughborough, we have stopped short of getting into the basin since my map says the moorings there are limited to 24 hours, although having looked in the basin I didn’t see any confirmation of this. After yesterday’s rain there was a bit more flow on the river, nothing untoward, but more than we have had so far.

 

The mooring last night was OK, although directly under the flight path for East Midlands Airport, I foolishly thought the flights would start sometime about 6am whereas the reality is that flights started coming in at 4am, I guess they were carrying freight (no one arrives on a flight at an airport at 4am, do they?

 

Haven’t yet decided how long we’re staying here, probably long enough to get the weekend shop, either tomorrow or Friday and then carry on towards Leicester.
