Travelled a bit further than intended today, my plan was to moor up at Sileby Mill but all of the moorings were taken so we’ve had to press on another couple of miles to Junction Lock near Cossington. The advantages are that we are a bit closer to Leicester and it is quieter here since we are away from the main roads and there is no real noise from the weir here, unlike Sileby Mill.
Might possibly stay here tomorrow night as well so that we head into Leicester on Monday rather than arriving on a Sunday afternoon with the possibility of finding no moorings available.
