When I said yesterday ‘when the tide is right’ I meant timewise, as it turns out going from Torksey to Cromwell on a neap tide is a very slow job, 5 hours and 50 minutes of a slow job to be exact (although 15 minutes of that was waiting for Cromwell Lock to fill!). Should we do it again, must remember to do it on a spring tide.

Except that it was a bit breezy at time, the weather was OK though, either overcast or sunny the whole way, I would think the trip would be purgatory on driving rain.

 

We managed to find a mooring against the wall at Cromwell Lock and will press on into Newark tomorrow where we will need to do the weekend shop.
