Rowington

Here I am Rune
Distance 2.7 miles
Total 1565 Locks 79 Tunnels
Running total mileage 2218.5 miles

Today began with rain (forecasted) then brightened up to be a glorious sunny morning(sort of forecasted) for our trip up to Kingswood Junction to turn around. It is a lot chillier than of late but wonderful weather to be out on the canal. We came back as far as a high embankment with excellent rural views and stopped for lunch. It was at this point that the weather seemed to move off script. Whilst having lunch the rain started and, feeling no real inclination to set off again in the rain, we remained where we were waiting for the rain to stop. By the time that it did, in these autumnal short days, it was too late to start off again, so here we are moored pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but with attractive rural views!

A glorious day to be on the canal

The sign to Stratford

Tomorrow back to the top of the Hatton Flight of locks to decide when we should go back down them.
