The couple who were going up the Hatton Flight changed their minds and decided that they were going to do it tomorrow (Thursday) but since the weather was with us we decided to go for it today. Given that all of the locks were against us and we were travelling alone it took us 4hours and 11 minutes from casting off this morning to mooring up at the water point at the top lock, not racing but not a bad time nonetheless. In distance we’ve only done less than 2 ½ miles but in effort it includes 21 locks, so we’re feeling a bit knackered now. No more locks to be done now until we come back down Hatton flight, which may possibly be on Sunday, haven’t decided yet but that is when the better weather is currently forecast.

Tomorrow the cunning plan will be to go as far as bridge and then walk down to Lowsonford locks to have a look at this Gormley sculpture.
