Took a walk into Goole from here in the docks, it is
actually quite a fair walk, about a mile and a half each way, but we managed to
stock up with shopping. A bit showery today and unfortunately worse forecast
for tomorrow with the risk of Thunder about lunchtime. The last thunderstorm
that came through here yesterday was accompanied with almost monsoon rain so I
am not sure at the moment whether we’ll move on tomorrow or leave it until
Wednesday (which is when the 72 hours on this mooring will be up).
Whilst walking back from the town took the opportunity to
photograph one of the remaining ‘Tom Pudding’ boat lifts.
