Reached Delph bottom lock as planned after quite a hard day’s
locking (17 in total). Again once you get into the rhythm of doing them they
seem to pass quite quickly although slower than normal today since crew had to
take the day off with a bad back. Fortunately all of the locks were set right
for us so we weren’t slowed down by having to pre-empty the locks. Weather held
up quite well except for a couple of showers of hail/sleet. Tomorrow it will be
a short run of 7 locks back up to Merry Hill.
