One of our shorter day trips today, Google says we’ve moved just 888 feet, which rounds up to about 0.2 of a mile, hardly an exhausting trip. The purpose however was to move out of the Waterfront basin and down the canal a short way, out of earshot of the music from the pub/club which I don’t doubt will be playing again tonight until the early hours again. It seems to have been a good move however because where we are now is on top of a high embankment with a full overview of the Merry Hill complex and beyond. Could be an issue if there was a strong wind but at the moment no high winds are forecast. Not sure exactly how long we will stay here, there are no time limit boards which would suggest that it is 14 days maximum, I would only be expecting to stay here until the early part of next week, Monday or Tuesday. 

The one advantage of the mooring being up so high is that the internet/phone signal is excellent so watching the Rugby today went without a hitch, although England could have played better it is supposedly the sign of a good team who can play not particularly well and still win.
