A good days cruise taking us to pretty much within a boat length of where we moored up for the night on the way up, back in May. We stopped off at Sale to get some milk and other essentials and I have to say that Sale town centre looks like a thriving town centre, a rare place these days. Not a lot of closed shops and a good variety of shops available.
Enjoyed travelling over Barton Swing Bridge again, now having also passed below it on the Ship Canal, pity we didn’t get to see it open from the canal side but we’d have to wait around until Thursday or Friday to see that.
We’ll need to stop off at Lymm tomorrow for water and other services so I’d expect that we will once again go as far as Stockton Heath meaning we should be off the Bridgewater Canal by Thursday.
