A rather hot day’s cruise from Anderton down here to Bostock. I was hoping to moor at Bramble Cuttings where there is some tree shade, but as we passed there were 5 boats already moored there with two of them breasted up so there was little likelihood of a mooring there. Fortunately there is another mooring just 100 metres further on, on the towpath side, so that is where we have stopped for the day.

The forecast over the next few days is looking even hotter and, if we are not careful we could find ourselves going up the Cheshire flight of locks on Thursday, when the temperature is forecast to top 30 degrees.
