It seemed that Leigh was a good place to stop for getting enough internet signal to watch the British F1 race, and a good race it seemed to be with several bits of ‘proper’ racing going on.

We picked up the remainder of our shopping before moving on from Leigh, stopping off at a well hidden sanitary station at Butts Bridge to get rid of the contents of our Elsan so we are now clear until the end of the week on that front, and we have to be off the Bridgewater Canal by Sunday or we’d be liable for buying a navigation permit.

We have decided to moor for the night in a rural location just before we get back into the built up area around Manchester, starting at Worsley, the plan will then be to go through to the other side of Sale tomorrow.
