We didn’t make it to Stockton Heath but, since the moorings in Lymm were free we have taken advantage of them. The delay was caused by topping up with water and emptying the Elsan so we finished cruising at about lunchtime (rain was forecast for the afternoon) and I then used the early stop to get the boat engine serviced, it was just the minor service (oil and filter change, turn the air filter and recharge the stern gland greaser) but, after the usual fiddling around, it still took a couple of hours.

My aim tomorrow is to get to the site of the Dutton canal breach on the Trent and Mersey in 2012 since I know it is now quite a good mooring site.
