Today was once again a short day, but for logistical reasons rather than any other purpose. We needed to get shopping at Middlewich which we’d completed by lunchtime, but the next reasonable mooring is at Wheelock, about six and a half miles and 8 locks away. If we’d carried on after lunch it would probably have been quite a late finish, and when we get to Wheelock we’ll probably need to go into Sandbach to get the weekend shop, so we’ll move on tomorrow and do the weekend shop on Friday morning, probably.
