Another short day’s trip from Hayes, Bulls Bridge to Cowley
Lock near Uxbridge. Spent the morning cleaning up the outside of the boat,
watering up and getting the last few supplies from the Tesco adjacent to last
night’s mooring. It was therefore, after 1pm before we actually made a move and
a fairly pleasant length of canal it was. Difficult to believe that we are
effectively in London since a lot of the route was through parkland. Once again
the stop solenoid decided not to work when we got here so had to manually stop
the engine, will have to get that looked at! At least we didn’t have the
problem of shallowness that we had further back on the canal, well not until we
came to moor up anyway! Not sure yet how long we will stay here but it has a 14
day limit so we have a variety of options.
