As planned, yet another short day to get to Downham Market to get the weekend stock in, only a couple of miles or so and a lock, but we seem to have managed to get the battery charge up to 100% although I did run the engine for a bit before we set off.

Interestingly you have to log in at Relief Channel lock with your boat number and a mobile contact number, after which you get the notice that you have logged in and can spend a maximum of 14 days on the relief channel. No criticism, but you’d be stretched to find enough stuff to do on the relief channel to fill 14 days, Downham Market is pleasant enough, but that is almost all that there is.

Tomorrow we’ll head off to the limit of navigation at Wiggenhall bridge and then head back to another of the moorings for tomorrow night (or even back to this one depending on how we feel). The internet here is brilliant (80 Mbps download, 31Mbps upload) and there is a F1 Grand Prix this weekend, here would be an ideal place to watch it.
