At last it seems that Spring may be making an appearance, the wind that was cutting us in half has dropped and it has got a little bit warmer, we even let the fire go out today. Once again we made reasonable progress, deciding to moor for the night before we get to the last two locks we’ll have to deal with on the way up the canal.
We are not sure how far we’ll get tomorrow, it would be a good day for crossing the Pontcsyllte Aqueduct as the forecast is for very little wind and a generally fine day. It is however about 10 miles, 2 locks and 2 tunnels so we’ll have to see how we get on.
