Crick

Here I am Rune
Distance 5.0 miles
Total 475 Locks 10 Tunnels
Running total mileage 643.1 miles

Continuing up the Leicester Arm of the Grand Union we are now up to Crick, in fact we have moored up opposite the boat brokers where it all started for us, ABNB. Coming up through Watford Locks was easier on the work but harder on the logistics since we are now onto single locks so when there are five boats coming down the flight and three boats going up there needs to be a bit of give and take, which is fortunately organised by the volunteer lock-keepers. Once we had started up the flight it all went pretty smoothly (and quickly) but there was a bit of confusion before we set off up the flight.

Once at the top of the flight it was time for lunch and then on to Crick tunnel which is probably one of the easiest (but also one of the wettest!). Tomorrow onward to the Welford arm junction.
