Having now
reached the further milestone of completing over 600 miles of the system we are
now on the outskirts of Milton Keynes/Bletchley at Fenny Stratford Lock. Took
the opportunity to meet up with an old work colleague to chew the fat for an
hour or so and catch up on how he is getting on and general gossip. He jokingly
asked whether we had met here because there is a notorious LGTB club nearby,
had to disappoint him by telling him that the more mundane reason was that
there was somewhere here to empty the toilet and refill with water!
Tomorrow we
hope for a short stop to visit the University that we both graduated from but
have never seen, The Open University at Walton Hall, and then onwards further north
towards Stoke Bruerne which we should reach by either Monday or Tuesday with
the opportunity to visit the canal museum there.
