Only a short update today to cover the fact that we have actually moved, albeit not very far. We stopped off at J.D Services at Gailey Lock and got our Esperbacher heater serviced so hopefully that should now be OK when winter comes. After that we just passed through the lock and moored up again. The problem is that for a little way now the canal follows closely to the M6 motorway, not conducive to a good nights sleep. Tomorrow we will try to get through the section whilst heading on towards Tixall Wide where my next intended mooring will be.
